My Uncle Dave
Twelve months ago, you saw the light,
We miss you loads, both day and night.
We feel you close enough to touch,
We all miss you so very much.
We hope that now you're way up high,
Right up there in the bright blue sky.
The pain, the suffering, now has gone,
And all the memories will live on.

David’s Wish For his son, Daniel.
If I get time off from heaven,
To come back for just one day,
I’ll ski the mountains of your dreams,
Or abseil all the way.
I’ll skydive from a shooting star,
Or use a paraglide,
I’ll catch a plane or a rocket ship,
If it takes me to your side.
I’ll run the stairs,
I’ll swing a rope,
I’ll ride the steepest slide.
I’ll surf the clouds,
I’ll free fall,
And even learn to fly.
If I get time off from heaven,
For one moments bliss,
I’ll bungee jump into your arms,
For just a second’s kiss.
The Visit
An angel dropped by my room last night,
And told me what to write,
But, “First things first,” she said,
And told me he’s all right.
She said, “You wouldn’t know it,
But heavens getting full."
She said this was the reason
Of why he had to come.
She said there was a plan
To find a secret vale,
And in this place there’s lots of space,
Enough for everyone.
She said they needed someone
Who lived life with no fear,
To search heaven’s mountains
And valleys far and near.
She said they needed someone
Who would stand the test,
She said this was the reason
He was chosen for this quest.
She said, “Be strong, it will take some time,
He has so much to do.
He’s finding a place in paradise
And saving it for you.”
